Hey to Phill, Steph, Masati, Pathfinder, McLanfear, Obelixa, LadyDuLuc, Gimboid, Vagz, all the guys in the 'bin, the exiles, and everyone else I know that I don't have the space to put on here. And cheers to Nick Bradbury for writing HomeSite. =8)
Right. This is my web page. I'll probably have all the files from the other site as well (see "About CS Software"), because I've got unlimited web space on this server. It's great! Look in the links for the Free-Online
home page. You can contact me at the E-Mail address at the bottom of the page, or possibly on Undernet
on IRC, in #Loonybin, usually in the afternoon. My nick'll be Nutter or iKaruS.
<11/8/00> First off, the MP3 page is going offline for a bit so I can streamline and update it a bit. Also, I've added a couple of links to the Good Sites section. And while I think of it, the Good Sites section is gonna be renamed to plain old Links, cos it sounds better. There may be a couple of bits on the site that don't work, cause Win95 decided it didn't want to see the drive that the site is on, so I had to copy the entire drive contents elsewhere in DOS, which mangled the long filenames. Gah! Ah well. Nothing I can do about it now. Also, the new version of mIRC, 5.8 if I remember correctly, has just been released. There's a link in the Good Sites section.
<11/8/00> Right, I'm starting work soon, so I will probably be updating this page more because I'm getting my own phone line and BT Surftime, which adds up to me being on the net more. =8) Just one more thing, here's the log for #Class on Undernet. Take a look at it if you use IRC because it has some quite useful info in it.
<6/6/00> I'm free!!! Finally, I've finished my A-levels and soon I'll be released upon the world. Did I just hear someone say "God help us"? Too right, mate! =8) Ho hum. What have I changed? Oh yeah, added a couple of links to the Good Sites section, (Why did I call it that? Prepare for it to be renamed in the near future.) gave all my MP3s proper names, fixed a bug or two in the sidebar Javascript, added a few links to the Essential Software section, and I think that's about it. I'm going to add one of the rarest MP3s ever to the MP3 page soon, On The Outside by Oingo Boingo. I heard it on the end of a film (Eight Days A Week, in case anyone's interested. It was quite a good film, thinking about it.) and started looking for it. 3 months later, I was still looking. Eventually, I found it on Napster (Which reminds me... Ok, Napster is added to the Essential Software page) and got it off a bloke with a 14.4k modem. Now, I was using ISDN at the time, and after you get used to downloading at 16k a sec, going back to 1.3k a sec isn't fun, let me tell you. Anyway, after an hour and a half, I finally had it. So I proceeded to download about 30 other Oingo Boingo songs. I reckon I've got pretty much every song they've ever done now, including both versions of Weird Science, normal and extended dance mix. Anyway, I'm going to be able to upload all my MP3s soon because I'm on an 0800 ISP and I've just got a faster modem (33k, but it was free so I can't complain.) so expect to see more in the near future. Oh, and I'm writing a sci-fi novel, so when it's a bit bigger I'll upload a copy of that. Bye for now...
<19/5/00> Just fixed the pic on the "About Me" page. Damn case-sensitivity. =8( Also added a program to the "Essential Software" bit. And the piece de resistance, this here MPEG of Bill Gates and a pie. =9)
<21/4/00> Ok, so I don't get to update my pages as much as I'd like, but there's a few things been changed. Those of you using IE5 (Shudder...) will notice a little icon of my smiley next to the address, on the favorites list and in a bunch of other places. I hope. Yeah, it's not much, but hey, it looks good. Not much time to do anything else, what with A-Levels and all, but they'll be over soon, and then I'll have more time to do stuff on here. Oh, and here's some late breaking news, a friend and I are starting a new site dedicated to network PC games. The main focus will be on first-person shooters like Quake and Half-Life, but there'll be sections for the various C&Cs, TA, stuff like that. Won't be around for a while yet, we haven't even decided who'll host it yet, but you can see the entry screen here.
<9/2/00> This is the first update in the new millenium, or not, if you believe those people who say it's next year. I say it's both, because you get to have two millenium parties then! =8)
Not much actually been done, it's just minor things, but there is a new page with logons for Hotmail and TEQ, and also a search thingy for AllTheWeb. It's meant to be set as your starting page, so everything you need is
within easy reach. And yes, I've put the newer entries here at the top.
<3/11/99> It had to happen at some point, it was just a question of when. I've finally uploaded the site, frames and all,
apart from some (read: most) of the MP3s, due to lack of access. Which bites. I've had some ideas for some more pages, about IRC and about
my computers. You know, the usual pics of the machines, what their main uses are, stuff like that. Also, I'm thinking of
rearranging these update bits, so that the newest ones are at the top. Seems a bit more sensible some how. Anyway, enough
rambling, I've got work to do. =8)
<29/8/99> Ok, there's been another update to the MP3 page, some MP3s off a CD I was given a few days ago, and also "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen, which, due to technical difficulties, hasn't been possible
to put on the page. One last thing, some of you may have noticed a new page on this site, the programming
page. This is where you can go if you want a little utility that you can't find anywhere else, or if you need some
help with a BBC Basic, QBasic or Visual Basic program.
<4/6/99> I've just updated the MP3 page, new MP3s from Madness and Apollo Four Forty. Also, there could be a major update to the page, using FRAMES! So keep your eyes open.
